Does bet365 accept credit cards?
Credit, prepaid and corporate cards are refused on the UK deposit page, which sets these other rules:

At what point does bet365 check identity?
Checks start during registration. They can cover age, identity, address, location, financial circumstances and where deposits come from. Enhanced checks can follow at particular financial thresholds, or when risk factors arise.

- proof of address
- financial statements, and documents that support spending on the account

Is bet365 legit in Great Britain?
The casino partnership has held its Casino Remote licence since 17 October 2019, with bet365.com listed Active on account 55149. Customer money sits in separate designated bank accounts, graded “medium protection” in section 10.5. In an insolvency, the terms say, those funds would still belong to customers.
The 2024 regulatory settlement, from the register and the Commission’s statement:
- 4 April 2024: the Commission published the settlement with Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC.
- Payment: £343,035 instead of a financial penalty, with £15,684.50 more towards the Commission’s costs.
- Failings: anti-money laundering controls from May 2021 to July 2022, customer interaction from October 2021 to September 2022.
- One finding: sanctions checks were not run on new customers before their first deposits.
- Sports side: Hillside (UK Sports) ENC settled for £239,085 the same day, making £582,120 across both.
Account 55149’s actions tab listed the 2024 case alone on 29 September 2026. Public statements come off the Commission’s website once they are 3 years old.
The 2024 public statement lists a repeated breach first among the aggravating factors. An earlier Commission notice, dated 24 June 2014, covered weak money-laundering and customer-protection controls at bet365.
What can get a bet365 account suspended?
Section 16.2 of the terms lists Prohibited Activities, and several can catch an ordinary account:
- a deposit from a payment method in another person’s name
- a chargeback, reversal or return on a deposit
- letting someone else use the account
- deliberately opening or using a second account, which bet365 can close, voiding its offers and winnings
- bankruptcy
During a suspension over a suspected Prohibited Activity, the balance cannot be withdrawn. Raise any payment problem with bet365 before asking the bank for a chargeback.

When can a bet365 complaint go to IBAS?
- Raise the complaint on bet365’s Contact page, with dates, amounts and any bet or reveal reference.
- Keep screenshots of the bet, the balance and the offer terms. The transaction log decides bet disputes, and bet365’s offer-eligibility record is final.
- After 8 weeks without a settlement, either side can take it to IBAS.
- IBAS stands for the Independent Betting Adjudication Service. An outcome agreed with its help binds both sides.
Trustpilot’s bet365.com profile scored 1.3 out of 5 on 29 September 2026. Of its 7,055 reviews worldwide, 89% are 1-star and 1,273 came in the last 12 months. Negative reviews had no replies.
What happens to a dormant bet365 account?
- After 365 days in a row with no login, the account is classed as Dormant.
- A zero balance is closed with no fee.
- A positive balance goes back to the last deposit method, or to a verified bank account in the holder’s name.
- From at least 35 days after the first attempt to reach the holder, £2 comes off every 28 days.
- Logging in reactivates the account and stops the fee.
- To leave for good, withdraw, then use the Account Closure page.
How far does a bet365 self-exclusion reach?
One bet365 account covers sport, casino, live casino and poker, and you’re allowed only one. Read together, those terms point to a self-exclusion on it reaching every product.
